The Women’s World Cup draw ahead of next summer’s tournament will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22. Here’s what you need to know and how to watch.
The Women’s World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand, will hold its final draw on Saturday at the Aotea Centre in Auckland, New Zealand.
FIFA has expanded the tournament from 24 teams to 32 for the first time next year. Of the nations slated to participate, only 29 have qualified so far.
The remaining three countries will be decided in a series of inter-confederation playoff matches featuring 10 teams, scheduled to take place in New Zealand between Feb. 18 and Feb. 23, 2023.

The 32 nations will be placed in eight groups. The seeded teams, meaning that they can’t play one another in the group stage, are the defending champions United States, European champions England, co-hosts Australia and New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, France and Spain.
The tournament will kick off on July 20, 2023, The final is scheduled for Aug. 20 in Sydney.
