The 2022 Army-Navy Game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday, Dec. 10 and here’s all the info you need to watch.
Few traditions in college football can match what the annual Army-Navy Game brings to the table. It doesn’t matter how good or bad the Black Knights and Midshipmen have been in a given season; these teams facing off has so much history and prestige behind it every year that creates an iconic scene in the early part of December every single year.
On Saturday, we get another iteration of this game as they will head back to a familiar setting for the showdown, Philadelphia, as they take over Lincoln Financial Field. It figures to be a fun matchup between two teams that, though they haven’t succeeded much in terms of wins this year, are always evenly matched when they get on the field.
This is the definition of can’t-miss action when it comes to college football, so we have everything you need to watch and enjoy the game on Saturday, Dec. 10.
The game will kick off after the pregame ceremonies and festivities at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 10.
Last year’s game was at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ but the 2022 contest will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA. While the game is almost always held in the northeast (which makes sense given the schools’ locations in West Point, NY and Annapolis, MD), they have rotated frequently between numerous venues. Philadelphia, however, is the most common host of the game.
The 2022 Army-Navy Game will be broadcast on CBS on Saturday, which also means it will be streaming on the CBS Sports app and on Paramount+ provided that you log in with valid subscription.
Coming into the 2022 meeting between these rivals, Navy holds the all-time series lead with a 62-53-7 record. However, it’s Army that has had a leg up in recent years, winning four of the last six annual meetings in this historic matchup. It was the Midshipmen that got the upset win in the 2021 game, winning 17-13.
Navy enters Saturday’s game with a disappointing 4-7 record. However, the Midshipmen ended the season with an upset win over UCF to put a feather in their cap and almost completed a comeback against Notre Dame near the end of the year as well as they fell short in a 35-32 loss.
It was also a bit of a disappointing season for Army as the Black Knights come into Saturday’s clash at just 5-6 on the season, though many of their losses were against top-half teams in college football, including Coastal Carolina, UTSA, Troy, Wake Forest, and Air Force.
As mentioned, the game will be streaming on Paramount+ and the CBS Sports app if you’re unable to watch at home on CBS for the regular broadcast, but you must log in with a valid cable or satellite subscription.
Fans can also subscribe to FuboTV to stream, which is available for a 7-day free trial when new users sign up.
It’s a bit shocking given the total body of work for both teams that this game has the Midshipmen favored but I’m not buying it. The Black Knights have been the better team all season and I think they have the better unit on both sides of the ball and that the oddsmakers are overvaluing the upset win over UCF.
As for the total, CBS Sports’ Tom Fornelli would be happy to know that I’m letting everyone know that the under in service academy matchups since 2005 is a stunning 43-9-1 with the last 16 Army-Navy game matchups going to the under. Even with this low total, I’m not fading that trend.
Prediction: Army 17, Navy 10
You can listen to the Black Knights radio broadcast of the game from 970 AM in New York on TuneIn here.
You can listen to the Midshipmen radio broadcast of the game from FM 101.5 and other networks on TuneIn here.
As mentioned, the game will be streaming on the CBS Sports app, CBSSports.com and through Paramount+ thanks to CBS having the broadcast. You can also sign up for the 7-day free trial for FuboTV if you are a new user.
For other means of streaming, searching for “Army-Navy game reddit cfb streams” should point you in the right direction. Be careful, though, as some of these streams can offer a less than ideal viewing experience that includes ads, buffering and other unpleasant aspects.
