Saturday evening in the NBA All-Star weekend is often many peoples highlights of the whole break.
The dunk contest has the historic nature behind with names such as Michael Jordan, Vince Carter making it popular while the likes of Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon have helped revived interest in the event.
But in the modern NBA game, three-points reign supreme and the three-point contest continues to garner plenty of interest from fellow players and fans.
Players attempt to make as many three-point field goals as possible from five standing positions in under one minute.
Last year saw Eric Gordon and Kyrie Irving compete in a bonus round after both finishing with 20 points and the former went on to win, becoming the first player in Rockets franchise history to win the three-point contest.
This year promises to be a similarly entertaining contest with eight players vying for the trophy, and here is everything you need to know about it.
BT Sport is the exclusive home of the NBA in the UK for the 2017/18 season and will also be home to all the action this All-Star weekend.
The action gets underway at 1am (GMT) this evening and is available live on BT Sport 1.
BT Sport broadcast up to seven lives games per week throughout the regular season and the first and second rounds of the playoffs, as well as every game of the conference finals and NBA Finals.
NBA All-Star weekend is not complete without it’s Saturday night festivities.
The evening starts off with the Taco Bell Skills Challenge with the dunk contest the finale of the night.

As said above, Gordon will return to defend his crown but he faces a tough field of seven other competitors to do so.
Klay Thompson, the 2016 champion, will be looking to topple Gordon and he is also joined by fellow All-Stars Bradley Beal, Paul George and Kyle Lowry.
The Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker, Miami Heat’s Wayne Ellington and the LA Clippers’ Tobias Harris make up the rest of the field.
