The NBA returned last night as the Boston Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Lakers. The first full slate of basketball action takes place tonight, with ESPN airing the Knicks-Grizzlies game at 7:30 p.m. ET and the Mavericks/Suns matchup at 10:00 p.m. ET. But if you’re looking to watch some out-of-market NBA action, you’re going to need NBA League Pass.
We have some terrific news for potential League Pass subscribers: The NBA’s streaming service is now available at a substantial discount. Last season, NBA League Pass cost $249.99/year for the premium option and $199.99 for the traditional subscription. The cost for the 2022-2023 season is $129.99 and $99.99 (and the monthly rate has also been slashed).
Where exactly can you purchase NBA League Pass? Here’s everything you need to know.
NBA fans can purchase League Pass directly through NBA.com. There are a variety of different packages from which to choose:
It’s important to note that blackout restrictions apply. For instance, if you live in the New York area, you’re unable to view Nets and Knicks games live on League Pass. Related, games airing on ESPN, ABC, and TNT will not be available to watch live on NBA League Pass.
We have additional NBA League Pass streaming options below, but this helpful article from the NBA provides more links/information about buying League Pass.
The NBA is currently offering a seven-day free trial of League Pass. But wait… there’s more. Sling TV also provides a free preview of NBA League Pass through October 24. Additionally, Prime Video has a seven-day free trial of League Pass for eligible subscribers.
If you use FanDuel, existing customers can opt-in to a promotion in which they place an NBA wager of at least $5 and receive a free three-month trial subscription to NBA League Pass.
Nope. Unfortunately, NBA League Pass isn’t available through Hulu + Live TV.
You can also purchase NBA League Pass for $14.99/month (or a single team for $13.99/month) on Prime Video. If you don’t want to order through Amazon, you can also buy League Pass on fuboTV ($14.99/month), Sling TVYouTube TVYahoo Sports, or DIRECTV STREAM.
NBA League Pass is also available as an in-app purchase through your Roku Channel and participating U.S. TV providers.
