The UFC returns to pay-per-view action this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.
Topping the card at the State Farm Arena is an interim lightweight title fight between featherweight champion Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier.
The eagerly-anticipated 155lbs championship bout is a rematch seven years in the making and provides ‘Blessed’ with the opportunity to avenge his first career loss.
In the co-main event of the evening, Israel Adesanya will take on Kelvin Gastelum for the interim middleweight title.
The winner of UFC 236’s main event will set up a lightweight title unification fight with undisputed champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
And the victor of Adesanya vs Gastelum will earn the right to fight undisputed middleweight champion Robert Whittaker next.
Also on the card is an entertaining welterweight bout between Alan Jouban and Dwight Clarke.
On paper, UFC 236 is one of the standout cards of 2019, making it a must watch for even the most casual MMA fan. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.
